The University of Dundee has an international reputation for research in medicine and life sciences. The work in DECIDE will take place in the Division for Clinical & Population Sciences and Education (CPSE) in the Medical School, which was ranked as the UK’s best medical school in The Guardian newspaper’s 2009 University Guide. CPSE brings together academic and clinical staff in the University of Dundee, NHS Trusts and Health Boards and therefore provides an extremely rich teaching and research working environment. CPSE also houses the Scottish School of Primary Care, the Scottish Primary Care Research Network and the Scottish Dental Practice Research Network, which gives CPSE excellent research links with clinical primary care staff across Scotland and internationally. In the national 2009 Research Assessment Exercise, CPSE’s research in Primary Care and other community-based subjects was placed in the top 10 universities in UK.
